The Big Gun Model Warship Combat World Championships originated in conjunction with Australian Battle Group nationals held in January, 2002. All Big Gun Clubs around the world were invited to the event, and those hardy few who ventured down under were heartily welcomed (even though they missed the event). The event was quickly recognized as the Big Gun Model Warship Combat World Championships by Big Gun clubs around the world, including those unable to send delegations. The World Championships have been held annually in Australia every January since its inception in 2002. By special arrangement with the Australian Battle Group, founder and host of the annual Big Gun Model Warship Combat World Championships, NABGO has been selected as the site for the 7th annual Big Gun Model Warship Combat World Championships on July 10-13, 2008. As always, all 1/144 scale Big Gun Model Warship Combat Clubs and captains are invited.
